A personal blog website aiming to share content in Navigation, Space exploration and Earth Observation, principally in fields where I have experience, such as communications, navigation, remote sensing and signal processing.

I’m an engineer passionate about space technology, specialized in satellite navigation and remote sensing. I started spacewayfinder as a hobby to share technological advancements in fascinating space topics. To me, this is a window to a whole universe of areas beyond the daily activities at any of the companies I have worked.

Furthermore, I like to develop Navigation and Remote Sensing projects and in C++, Python and JavaScript on Google Earth Engine. Feel free to explore them!

Universe is beautiful, we see it in every telescope image. Advancements in engineering have made possible not only to visualize such images and explore the deep space far away from Earth, but also to navigate and observe our home from a different and unique perspective.
- Goldilock Stars: in a Universe full of life……to gaze at the stars is to feel closer to other forms of Life. The absence of evidence for life beyond Earth is not a valid reason to deny its existence. In fact, within the vastness of the Universe, it is its infinity and wonder that make it, at least to me, obvious that we are definitely not alone in it. In its infinity, it is reasonable to think that life is abundant.
- GPS – behind the scenesWhere does Google Map’s blue dot come from? Suppose we’re on city looking for a particular place, we all almost instantaneously open Google Maps app, a blue point shows somewhere in the map indicating our location and we are then ready to continue our way to our destination. This article will try to explain, in simple words, what is the the process before that blue point appears in our map.
- GPS + CybersecurityWhy using these two words together? GPS, the satellite system responsible for spotting a blue dot in your smartphone’s Maps app is, as any other wireless system, not exempt to service disruptions or malfunctioning. GPS interference has been an increasing problem every year provoking service denial in critical applications.
